Trauma-informed Yoga
I specialise in accessible, trauma-informed and embodied practices which support clients in finding their own path to restore the body-mind connection.
The sessions I facilitate could be beneficial for anyone, but they are designed to be especially helpful for neurodivergent folks, those with history of trauma and those suffering from or at the risk of burnout, mental health issues, stress, and peri-menopause.
I’ve been practising yoga for over fifteen years, and have trained as teacher in Trauma Informed Yoga and Somatics (200hrs), Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Understanding Neurodiversity for yoga teachers with Barefoot Body Training Yoga & Somatics.
Let’s work together
Work with me if you or colleagues at your organisation feel tired, overstretched, perhaps a bit unsettled, or simply in need of a supportive space to move and feel grounded in your body.
Examples of trauma-informed yoga sessions I teach include:
Slower-paced Hatha-inspired Yoga
Yoga Nidra
Restorative Yoga
Chair Yoga
Meditation and Movement
Neurodivergent-affirming Yoga
Yoga for Peri-Menopause
I teach both 1-1 classes and group sessions. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to ask about my offer.
Yoga testimonials
“The session we had with Joanna was amazing. It was the most accessible yoga class I have ever been to. The emphasis was on movement that felt right to you, and at all times I felt safe and included. The session left us all feeling much more relaxed and re-energised. Thank you so much Joanna!”

“I liked that we were encouraged to ‘listen to our bodies’ and act accordingly (rather than try to push ourselves to perfect the poses immediately). As a teacher, Joanna was excellent: motivating, supportive and friendly. Each session was a pleasure to join - thanks so much!”
